Free Online Software for Creating Memes, Posters, Flyers, Brochures, e-Book covers, Invitations, and more: CANVA
I use this program often for creating Facebook and LinkedIn memes for online marketing of my events. See the two examples below.
It is called Canva, here https://www.canva.com/
I will use it even more often in the future, for other purposes such as e-book covers.
A Very Nice Online App
“Online App” means that you do not need to install anything on your computer. All that is required that you create a canva.com user account (which is entirely ok) and to log-in.
The app is so intuitive that I don`t even need to describe in detail how it works. In three easy steps:
- Select a template from an abundant multitude of available templates. Some are marked as “free” and some cost only one (1) US$,
- Replace the text in the template with your own information, and
- Either use the Windows Snipping Tool to cut out your Facebook or LinkedIn meme in .jpg format or download the result as a pdf file.
Ready. It usually takes less than 10 minutes of my time to create a very nice meme and to put it online both on Facebook and LinkedIn.
I like it.
Yes, there are Online Tutorials available
Tutorials for using Canva are found here:

The tutorials will also give you more ideas on what else you can do with Canva: flyers, brochures, e-book covers, name cards, posters, etc.
Costs
The basic version of Canva is free. This is what I am using.
There is an upgrade to “business class” available for 120 US$/year but I do not yet see a reason for upgrading. Many of the Canva templates are free and for every fifth template that I am using, I pay only one (1) US$. That is good for me.
Most important for me: using the intuitive Canva app, I do not need to spend time looking for new designs or learning how to use Photoshop or other high-end image editing tool.
