Stop Thieves from Stealing your Monetized YouTube Videos

original article from here

Bill Myers - February 25, 2019

If you have a monetized YouTube channel (and you should), you probably know that you earn a small amount of revenue each time a video on your channel is viewed.

With that in mind, you don't want someone copying your videos and putting them on their monetized channel and stealing away your views.

For example, I have over four hundred videos on my monetized YouTube channel and almost ten million views. Those videos generate a nice monthly income and I sure don't want anyone stealing my videos and views.

Until recently though, it was time-consuming and almost impossible to search through the billion or so videos on YouTube trying to find if anyone has copied any of yours.

But YouTube has just made it a lot easier. In fact, they've created a page that shows which of your videos have been copied and which channels are running them. They even provide an easy one-click way to get the copied videos taken down.

This is good news for YouTube video creators and bad news for video thieves.

To see how this works, check out my article at: https://www.bmyers.com/public/youtube-video-thieves.cfm

In my article, you'll see how to use the YouTube Copyright Match tool on your YouTube channel, and see examples of my videos that it found on other channels.
